What happens if I have bought a ticket/s and can no longer attend?

How many gardens will be open?
Approximately 20 gardens will be open, but the total may vary from day to day - please contact the organisers if you need exact numbers.
Will there be any refreshments?
Yes, we have a "Pop Up" cafe, located in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church. Serving a range of refreshments, light lunches and other delights.
Where can I buy tickets for the Open Gardens 2024 event?
In advance, please use this website to book your tickets on line.
In person on the day there will be a ticket sales stall in Church Plain (just inside the churchyard).
Are dogs allowed?
Many of the gardens are dog friendly provided that your dog is on a short lead and under control. They have a letter D in the passport and a picture of a smiling dog on their gate number. Please do not take your dog into gardens where owners want them to be dog-free and please dispose of any poo bags responsibility.
On the day of the event, where do we start?
On arrival for the event, please make your way to Church Plain (just inside the churchyard) where there will be a "Pop Up" Ticket Sales Gazebo.
There you will be issued with your Passport/s for the event. Your passport will give you all the information you need for the event, including a map and list of all the gardens open for you to visit. Please keep your Passports safe and with you at all times as you will need to show them to gain access into every garden.
Will there be any toilet facilities?
There are toilets at St Johns Chapel, Holy Trinity and the Staithe Car Park and may also be available in some gardens.
Will there be Ice Creams?
Yes, definitely. Rich is selling Ice Creams and will be on sale at 10 Poplar Gardens (No. 1) on the Map.
What happens to the money raised?
The Church at Loddon. Running the church on a day to day basis costs a lot of money. The Church are also embarking on a development project in order to equip the building with the facilities people expect in the 21s century and to ensure that the building is fit for purpose for generations to come. This weekend is helping towards making the vision a reality
What happens if the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances?
We will issue full refunds for any tickets bought in advanced.
How will we know if the event is cancelled?

If I order online, where do I get my tickets from on the day?

What are the dates for Loddon Open Gardens 2025?
Unfortunately we can not commit to dates for 2025 yet.
Typically the event is held every 2 years.

Will all the gardens be open 11am - 5pm each day?
Yes mostly!
Please note a few gardens will be closing early or only available for 1 day, please refer to your passport for all information regarding the opening times of each individual garden.
What else is available during the weekend?
If you are inspired by what you see, don't miss out on buying beautiful plants for your own gardens at our plant stall Holy Trinity Church.
Or prefer to just relax in your gardens, then don't forget to visit our book stall, also at Holy Trinity Church.
There will be an Art Exhibition and sales held in St John's courtesy of Chet Valley Photography club.
Where can I park?
There are 2 main car parks in Loddon. Loddon Staithe and Market Place.
Most gardens are a very short walk away from these 2 car parks.
Hobart High School have also kindly agreed we can use both sports hall car park areas and parking at the front of the school.
There is also limited parking in St Johns car park.
Drivers – if you need to drive round the trail, please don’t park on garden owners drives. Please find the closest street parking.
Are all areas accessible for wheelchairs and buggies?
Unfortunately no!

Can I come Saturday and Sunday?
Yes you can, we would love to see you both days. As there are 22 gardens, you may want to split it over 2 days. The ticket (£5pp) covers you for both days.
What does the £15 family ticket cover?
Children under 16 go free. If you are a family of 4 or more over the age of 16, the family ticket will work out best value for you.
Do you take credit cards?
Unfortunatley its cash only, we can't get the card machine to our "Ticket Sales" Gazebo just inside the churchyard !
But there is a free to withdraw cash machine in the Co-Op. (1 minute walk away).
